The Apache Sling stack

Apache SlingApache Sling is a REST-based, content-driven web framework that uses a Java Content Repository, such as Apache Jackrabbit, to store and manage content, as well as an OSGi framework, such as Apache Felix, to provide a dynamic runtime environment. It supports multiple scripting languages, such as JSP, server-side javascript, Scala, etc.

Apache JackrabbitApache Jackrabbit is a Java Content Repository implementation. A content repository is a hierarchical content store with support for structured and unstructured content, full text search, versioning, transactions, observation, and more.

Apache FelixApache Felix is an implementation of the OSGi module system and service platform with a complete and dynamic component model, where code and content bundles can be loaded, unloaded and reconfigured at runtime.
